1. Installation or Functionality Issues

If the extension does not appear in your Chrome toolbar or is not working correctly:

• Check Activation: Open chrome://extensions and ensure that SEO UX Checklist — Ask SEO Coach is enabled.
• Pin the Icon: Click the puzzle icon (🧩) in the Chrome toolbar, then click the pin next to SEO UX Checklist to keep it visible.
• Restart Chrome: Restart the browser to complete the installation properly.

2. How to Use the Extension

• Open any webpage you want to evaluate.
• Click the Ask SEO Coach icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the checklist.
• Review each UX checkpoint. Click “Show details” to reveal explanations and suggested tools such as Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, PageSpeed Insights, Google Search Console, and Chrome DevTools.
• Use Save to store your progress locally and Export to download an easy-to-read UX audit report.

3. The Extension Does Not Work on Certain Pages

Chrome restricts extensions from running on specific pages for security reasons:

• Refresh the Page: Sometimes a simple refresh resolves temporary loading issues.
• Restricted Pages: The extension cannot run on Chrome internal pages (chrome://) or on the Chrome Web Store.

4. Data Privacy

Your data is completely private. The extension stores all checklist progress using chrome.storage.local, directly within your browser. No personal information, website data, or browsing data is ever collected, transmitted, or shared. All processing happens locally on your device.
