1. Installation or Functionality Issues

If the extension does not appear in your Chrome toolbar or is not working correctly:

• Check Activation: Open chrome://extensions and ensure that the Complete Step-by-Step SEO Audit Checklist — Ask SEO Coach extension is enabled.
• Pin the Icon: Click the puzzle icon (🧩) in your Chrome toolbar, then click the pin next to SEO Audit Checklist to keep it visible.
• Restart Chrome: Restart your browser to finalize installation.

2. How to Use the Extension

• Open any webpage you want to audit.
• Click the Ask SEO Coach icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the complete SEO audit checklist.
• Review each SEO checkpoint across all categories. Click “Show details” to reveal explanations and recommended tools such as Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Ahrefs, SEMrush, PageSpeed Insights, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.
• Use Save to store your audit progress locally and Export to download a human-friendly SEO audit report.

3. The Extension Does Not Work on Certain Pages

Chrome restricts extensions from running on sensitive or internal pages. If the extension does not activate:

• Refresh the Page: A simple refresh may resolve temporary loading issues.
• Restricted Pages: The extension cannot run on Chrome system pages (chrome://) or on the Chrome Web Store.

4. Data Privacy

Your data stays fully private. The extension uses chrome.storage.local to save your progress directly in your browser. No personal information, analytics data, website content, or browsing behavior is ever collected, transmitted, or shared. All audit data remains on your device and cannot be accessed externally.
