1. Installation or Functionality Issues

If the extension is not appearing in your Chrome toolbar or is not working as expected:

• Check Activation: Go to chrome://extensions and make sure the On-Page SEO Checklist — Ask SEO Coach extension is enabled.
• Pin the Icon: Click the puzzle piece icon (🧩) in your Chrome toolbar, then click the pin icon next to On-Page SEO Checklist to keep it visible.
• Restart Chrome: Restart your browser to ensure the installation is properly applied.

2. How to Use the Extension

• Open any webpage you want to review.
• Click the Ask SEO Coach icon in your Chrome toolbar.
• Go through the 17 checklist items. Click “Show details” under each point for explanations and recommended tools.
• Use Save to store your progress locally and Export to download an easy-to-read SEO progress report.

3. The Extension Does Not Work on Certain Pages

Some Chrome-restricted environments block extensions from running:

• Refresh the Page: A simple refresh can often fix temporary loading issues.
• Check Restrictions: The extension won’t work on Chrome system pages (chrome://settings) or on the Chrome Web Store itself.

4. Data Privacy

Your data stays fully private. The extension uses chrome.storage.local to save progress directly in your browser. No personal or website data is ever transmitted to external servers.
